A Festival of Science and Art at Southampton's Nuffield Theatre

Over three days, Nuffield curated a mini festival of debates, performances and panel discussions between cultural figures, social commentators and world class scientists with work from two of the UK’s most innovative theatre companies.

The mini festival culminated in a collaboration with the University of Southampton to present TEDx SouthamptonUniversity at the Nuffield Theatre for the first time, an afternoon of talks and performances exploring and investigating how we can flourish in the 21st century, based on the globally successful TEDx programme.

In Theatre Work in Progress
Presentation of a work in progress created by writer Ella Hickson and choreographer Ben Duke, following their meetings with Dr Helen Roberts, a specialist in geriatric medicine, and Tim Underwood, a stomach and throat cancer expert.

Nuffield will also curate a series of debates throughout Fulcrum Southampton, which will be free to attend and announced in due course. These will include panel discussions with scientists and cultural figures debating issues of social and local importance.
