A message from Her Majesty the Queen, who received a copy of our book, 'Writing and What-not' on the occasion of her Diamond Jubilee.

Pencils and What-not held a writing workshop on Tuesday 17th April for members only.

Kirsty Whittle's short story, 'We all love you, Piggy Watson,' was read at the Winchester Discovery Centre on Saturday March 10th, where an evening of magic held everyone spellbound.

A 'White Rabbit presents...' show held in Brighton on March 13th - with the theme 'Mystery'.

Hilary Gregory was the runner-up in The Hampshire Writers' Society February competition to write a love letter in 250 words:

Kirsty Whittle won 1st prize in the 'Write a book blurb' competition for the Hampshire Writers' Society January meeting.

On December 13th 2011 the HWS held a poetry evening. Carole Hastings and Hilary Gregory held a book sale at the end of the meeting, selling copies of our book 'Writing and What-not - A Miscellany' to members and visitors alike.
